Data Protection

strong room uses Apple's built-in iOS Data Protection to provide a first-layer of defence for the items that you enter. This uses the device's hardware to encrypt and protect the data files that the application stores and accesses.

Password Protection

strong room requires the creation of a strong master-password that must be entered each time that the application is launched (unless Touch ID or Face ID is enabled). This password is also used to uniquely encrypt each of your entered field values.

Data Encryption

Each field value entered for a secret (protected or not) is stored as an encrypted block of data within the application database using industry best practices including AES-256, MHAC+SHA1, and PBKDF2.
